Background

The College of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, one of the pioneer colleges established at Bule Hora University in 2012 G.C. (2005 E.C.), has been actively fulfilling its mission in teaching-learning, research, and community service.

As agriculture remains one of the university’s leading centers of excellence, the college has made significant contributions toward improving agricultural production and productivity. Guided by the university’s vision and mission, the college has expanded its academic structure by opening various departments and programs while simultaneously implementing impactful research and community service activities.

Currently, the college offers 12 regular undergraduate programs and four weekend programs across the main campus and satellite campuses located in Guanga, Adola, Bore, Uraga, and Negele.

In addition, it provides winter-program training in Animal Health, Plant Science, Animal Science, and Natural Resource Management, alongside eight master’s degree programs delivered through both regular and non-regular modalities.

Through these initiatives, the college continues to strengthen the quality and relevance of agricultural education, promote research and innovation, enhance technology transfer, and expand community engagement.
