Dr. Mario DE MARTINO

Ph.D. in Comparative Politics | European Studies | Higher Education Policy | International Relations


Biography

Mario De Martino is a senior academic and researcher specialising in European Union studies, with a particular focus on EU education policy, soft power, academic mobility, and the governance of European integration through educational programmes. He holds a PhD in Comparative Politics from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), a Postgraduate Master in European Interdisciplinary Studies (EU Governance) from the College of Europe (Natolin campus), and a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Siena. His academic background provides an interdisciplinary foundation in EU governance, institutions, policies, and international relations.He has extensive experience in the policy, operational, and evaluative dimensions of EU education programmes. Between 2010 and 2012 he worked at the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission in Brussels, first as a trainee and subsequently as Project Officer for the Jean Monnet Programme and Erasmus Mundus, contributing to the monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance of EU-funded projects. He later worked as Project Officer at EURASHE, a consultative member of the Bologna Follow-Up Group, supporting EU-funded initiatives and policy dialogue within the European Higher Education Area.In academia, he has taught courses on EU politics, European integration, and soft power, including courses such as EU Politics and Integration and Soft Power as a European Integration Policy Tool. He has coordinated and supported more than 50 Erasmus+ projects, including Jean Monnet Actions, Capacity Building in Higher Education, and international mobility projects. His research focuses on European integration, EU education programmes, European identity, sustainability, and the international role of the European Union.

Dr. Yulia Sh. Gushchina

Associate Professor of Pharmacology | International Academic Cooperation | Russia


Dr. Yulia Sh. Gushchina is a pharmaceutical scientist and university educator with extensive expertise spanning pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, pharmacoeconomics, international academic relations, student mobility, and institutional partnership development. From 2008 to March 2026, she served at RUDN University in prominent academic and leadership roles, including Associate Professor in the Department of General and Clinical Pharmacology and Deputy Director for International Affairs of the Institute of Medicine. Throughout her tenure, she coordinated international educational initiatives, academic exchanges, scientific events, and cross-border institutional partnerships across Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the BRICS network. She also served as Co-Founder and Vice-President for Russia of the BRICS Council of Exercise and Sport Science (BRICSCESS) until 2026. Dr. Gushchina is an active researcher and the author or co-author of more than 60 scientific publications, including papers indexed in major databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.

Prof. Dr. Aderajew Waka Wassie is an immunologist and medical research scientist of international standing, specializing in molecular biomedicine and therapeutic biotechnology. Throughout his distinguished research career, he has driven critical breakthroughs in global immunological sciences. His collaborative initiatives bridge Europe and global research corridors, with core scientific contributions developed in partnership with Charité Medical University and the Free University of Berlin.

Dr. Delessa Bulcha Neger

Dr. Delessa Bulcha Neger (PhD) is an accomplished Ethiopian economist, dynamic academic leader, and progressive researcher with a deep commitment to higher education development, internationalization, and policy-driven scholarship. Currently associated with the prestigious Harriet Tubman Institute at York University in Canada, he focuses on fostering robust transnational educational alliances, institutional capacity building, and innovative research on socio-economic development. Leveraging extensive academic and administrative leadership experience within East Africa and internationally, Dr. Delessa contributes meaningfully to critical conversations on global integration, socio-economic research, and academic excellence.

Holding a PhD in Geology from the prestigious University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa, his expertise bridges complex structural geology, mineralogy, and sustainable resource exploration across the African continent. Highly regarded for bridging academic theory with industrial development, he actively collaborates on global research projects focusing on sub-continental tectonic frameworks and critical mineral indicators.
