Background

The College of Engineering and Technology, one of the senior colleges established at Bule Hora University in 2012 G.C. (2004 E.C.), has been actively fulfilling its mission in teaching-learning, research, and community services.

The college has made significant contributions toward improving problem-solving research output by coordinating with technology transfer missions. Guided by the university’s vision and mission, the college has expanded its academic structure by launching undergraduate (BSc) and Master’s (MSc) programs.

Currently, it has 11 BSc and 13 Master’s programs, with continuous expansion of academic activities, research, and community service engagements.

All programs are highly demanded in the national job market where graduates successfully secure career opportunities. The principal pillars of engineering sciences include sustainable learning, demand-driven curricula, student-centered experimental learning, community service, appropriate technology transfer, and engineering project leadership development.

Currently, the college offers 11 regular undergraduate programs and two weekend programs across the main campus and satellite campuses located in Adola and Negele.

In addition, the college supports the university autonomy mission by consulting and solving institutional problems through close collaboration with university management.
