School of Law

Welcome to the School of Law

Background

The School of Law at Bule Hora University, established in 2014 as a department and upgraded to a school in 2017, is committed to delivering quality legal education, conducting problem-solving research, and providing free legal aid to vulnerable communities.

With 13 full-time and five high-profile adjunct staff, the school actively engages in national and international collaborations, including partnerships with Ethiopian law schools, the Consortium of Ethiopian Law Schools, and humanitarian organizations like UNHCR.

It operates five legal aid centers in West Guji Zone and is establishing a Human Rights and Peace Studies research center.
