Bule Hora University established its library services at the former Teachers College with a small staff. After one year, the university relocated to its main campus and expanded library services into two sections supporting academic departments. Later, the university built its first main library, the Abdula Gemeda Library, and officially launched full services. Additional libraries, General Tula Dube Library for Natural Science students and Bariso Dukale Library for general users, were also established.
The university library plays a key role in supporting teaching and learning by providing access to diverse knowledge, educational materials, and services. Its main goal is to enhance the quality, accessibility, and relevance of education by ensuring students have the resources they need anytime and anywhere.
To empower the academic community through comprehensive access to knowledge, resources, and services, fostering a culture of learning, research, and innovation at Bule Hora University.
To become a beacon of knowledge and intellectual growth, serving as a hub for academic excellence, research advancement, and community engagement within the region and beyond.
Access is reserved for registered students, faculty, and staff. A valid university ID card is required to borrow materials or use facilities.
Users may borrow a limited number of books for a specific period. Renewals are allowed unless reserved. Overdue materials are subject to fines.
Respectful behavior is required. Maintain silence in designated areas. Food and drinks are prohibited near materials and computers.
Users must follow copyright laws and avoid unauthorized downloading or sharing of materials.
Use facilities responsibly and report any damages or issues to library staff immediately.
Rooms must be booked in advance and vacated on time after use.
Users are responsible for lost or damaged items and must cover replacement costs.
Do not leave personal items unattended. The library is not responsible for lost belongings.
Follow official operating hours. Special schedules will be announced when necessary.
Failure to follow regulations may result in suspension of library privileges.
