Background
Bule Hora University (BHU) Research, International Relations, and Partnership Directorate, established in late December 2024, aspires to facilitate the university's vision of producing graduates who actively contribute to community transformation. This vision is closely intertwined with the university's ambition to become a center of excellence in research, particularly within the critical domains of agriculture, mining, health, and the preservation and application of indigenous knowledge. It strengthens research capacity through faculty development, external funding, and a culture of excellence. By forging strategic national and international partnerships, the Directorate enhances research capabilities, facilitates exchange programs, and attracts global expertise. These networks provide access to valuable resources and enable cutting-edge research, contributing significantly to regional development. The Directorate for the Research, International Relations and Partnerships aims to connect BHU with the world.
Key responsibilities of the directorate include:
  • Fostering partnerships with institutions locally and internationally.
  • Coordinating programs aligned with university priorities.
  • Supporting faculty and student exchanges (mobility).
  • Creating an environment for collaborative research projects.
  • Driving research, outreach, and project work.
  • Enhancing educational offerings, research capabilities, and community impact.
  • Enhancing the international visibility and reputability of the University
  • Creating networks and linkage systems with Government and non-Government organizations both locally and globally
  •  Improving partnerships and collaborations with associations that align in strategies, efforts, and initiatives
