Background

Bule Hora University, a higher education institution, established its own library and initiated services for the first time on the premises of Bule Hora Teachers College with a staff of no more than 13 individuals. After functioning for a year with a significantly limited staff, the university relocated to the main campus and structured the library into two separate sections within a newly constructed building, catering to the two academic departments. Subsequently, the university constructed its inaugural library, now known as the Abdula Gemeda Library, and officially commenced regular library services at the end of 2006. And add another two libraries named General Tula Dube for Natural Science students and Bariso Dukale for General user service library, respectively. One of the primary missions of the library is to directly and indirectly support the education provided in the classroom by providing students with diverse knowledge and facilitating access to essential educational resources, materials, and services to aid in their skill and ability development. The central goals of this university library are to ensure the collection of numerous resources that meet student needs and enhance the quality, relevance, accessibility, and equity of education, directly and indirectly meeting student educational requirements within the classroom and providing essential educational resources when and where needed.
