Bule Hora University conducted a training on Outcome Based Education Quality Audits and Academic Program Accreditation

The training was provided in collaboration with the University's Directorate of Academic Affairs and the Ministry of Education through the Education and Training Authority. College deans, heads of education departments, teachers, Team Leaders, and executives attended.
The Vice President of Academics, Research, Technology Transfer, and Community Service of the university, Dr. Gebeyehu Ashagre, who delivered the opening speech at the training program, emphasized the importance of the training and stated that the government is taking various steps at every level to maintain the quality of education. Considering this, the training was organized as it was necessary to further prepare the educational programs provided by Bule Hora University to meet the standards and be accredited. Issues related to the quality of education and program accreditation, namely the importance of accreditation of higher education institutions' educational programs, were discussed. The accreditation of educational programs is one of the quality indicators at the level of higher education institutions; it provides international competitiveness; accredited educational programs provide opportunities to receive various supports in a better way than others and create partnerships with industries. It was also stated that the institution needs to be recognized by recognizing educational programs that follow the vision, mission, and objectives set by Bule Hora University.
In other words, educational programs are accredited to ensure the quality of education provided in the institution and that students who graduate from it are employed in the field they have studied and served the community and the country. It was also raised that this requires monitoring by the university's registrar and alumni executive.
In addition, training was provided on the issues related to the quality of education and program accreditation, including assessment standards and scoring, as well as the data collection process and analysis related to program accreditation.
